Colorado Springs attorney Terry E. Rector is a Springs native, and has been practicing law in his hometown since 1981. He’s been operating his own law firm since 1987, after working with his late father, Leo Rector. He graduated from the University of Colorado in 1978, and from Seattle University School of Law in 1981.
Mr. Rector limits his practice to representing individuals who are injured by the negligence of others, whether they’ve been injured in a car, motorcycle, trucking, or any other type of personal injury, and people who are in need of legal representation for DUI, drug related offenses, sexual offenses, domestic violence and other related charges. He takes pride in helping people both legally, and emotionally, following these types of traumatic events.
Mr. Rector is a former Deputy District Attorney, as well as an Assistant County Attorney, both in Adams County. Formerly, he worked in the area of insurance defense, which makes his knowledge of personal injury claims, and the process insurance companies use to evaluate these claims, even more valuable to his clients.
Mr. Rector is affiliated with the El Paso County Bar Association, the Colorado Bar Association, the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association and the Colorado Criminal Defense Bar Association. Mr. Rector is admitted to the Colorado State and Federal Courts, along with the United States Court of Appeals for the 10th Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court.
